Addicted To Food

This is a special section for me. In the past I had an eating disorder. I was a food addict. I couldn’t cope with my emotions in a normal way and I used food to calm myself, to stop the pain my unexpressed emotions were causing. Food became my only focus. I came to the point that only what mattered to me was how much and what I eat.

Using food to control my emotions made me suffer even more. Focus on food made me less present in everything I did. I didn’t enjoy anymore so much spending time with my friends, doing my work.
